About PhiLIAA
The Philippine Life Insurance Advisors Awards (PhiLIAA) is the first-ever national awards program for the country's top life insurance advisors. The awards program has three categories, namely the Elite Awards, the Asian Circle of Excellence (ACE) Award, and the Gintong Kalasag, which is the newest addition to the awards in 2022.
Launched in March 2022, PhiLIAA is presented by LUAP and supported by the Insurance Commission.
General Qualifications
The PhiLIAA is open to all Life Insurance Advisors, Insurance Agents, Financial Advisors, and Agency Leaders (who continuously do personal production).
Awardee must be a LUAP member during the production year (2024) and recognition year (2025).
Must have met the following production requirements:
- First Year: annualized premiums issued within the calendar year (Traditional Products, Term Life, Variable Unit Link Products).
- Single Pay and Group Life accounts will be included with 10% of the annualized premium computation.
- Mutual Fund and Unit Investment Trust Fund are not included.
Bancassurance advisors are presently excluded from PhiLIAA.
LUAP will have an external auditor who will vet the results of the awards.

Level 1
Elite Award
The Elite Award is open to all licensed life insurance advisors of the agency force.
Key Award Criteria
Level 2
ACE Award
The ACE Award recognizes the Top 10 Elite awardees from each of the life insurance companies in the Philippines.

Level 3
Gintong Kalasag Award
The Gintong Kalasag Award is, by far, the highest merit in the life insurance industry. It is given to the Top 10 life insurance advisors in the Philippines based on their annualized premium.
